OFCU’s Sponsored Pet of the Month!

OFCU’s Sponsored Pet of the Month is Layla, a gentle and loving Female Mixed Breed! OFCU has put $30.00 towards her adoption fees. For more information on how to make her or another loving pet part of your family contact the Alamogordo Animal Control Center today!
Community Involvement
Golf Tournament
Scholarships/Golf Tournament
OFCU’s annual scholarship golf tournament was held Monday, May 25th, at Desert Lakes Golf Course in Alamogordo. All proceeds will go to fund OFCU’s scholarships for the area students. Thank you to all the volunteers for making the charity tournament a success.

Bowl 4 Kids' Sake
OFCU was a sponsor of this year’s Big Brothers Big Sisters-Bowl 4 Kids’ Sake on Saturday, May 2nd. Thank You to the 10 volunteers for donating your time and representing Team OFCU.

Highway Cleanups
Holloman Highway CleanUps
OFCU had 8 staff volunteer their time on Saturday, May 2nd with AFSA to help clean up part of the Holloman Highway.

Ruidoso Great American CleanUp
OFCU had 7 staff volunteer their time on Sunday, May 3rd with Ruidoso to help keep Ruidoso beautiful.

Colorfest Run
Thrives Colorfest 5K Fun Run
OFCU showed up and represented our Community Unity spirit at this year’s Color FUN run/walk on April 25th. Thank You to the 22 volunteers/participants for donating your time and representing OFCU!

Honor Flight
Honor Flight “Welcome Home”
OFCU is a supporter of NM’s Honor Flight mission—welcoming home 32 local heroes from Washington, D.C., where they visited the memorials built in their honor on Saturday, April 25th. This mission represents more than a journey—it’s a powerful tribute to their service, sacrifice, and the freedoms we enjoy because of them. Thank You to the 10 volunteers for donating your time and representing OFCU.

Autism Awareness
April is recognized as Autism Awareness Month, a time dedicated to increasing understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals on the autism spectrum.
On Wednesday, April 22nd OFCU supported Autism Awareness by wearing blue.

Air Show
HAFB Legacy of Liberty Airshow
OFCU was a sponsor of HAFB’s airshow on Saturday and Sunday, April 18th & 19th, with an estimate of 22,072 in attendance. Thank You to the 14 volunteers for donating your time and representing OFCU.

Purple Up
Purple Up! for Military Kids April 15th
“Purple Up! For Military Kids” is a day for Department of Defense Education Activity communities to wear purple to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices.

AHS Concessions
Alamogordo High School Basketball Concessions
OFCU had 27 volunteers help our Alamogordo Tigers Basketball Concessions stand in January and February.

Winter Wonderland
Alamogordo Winter Wonderland
OFCU Alamogordo donated and decorated a “Sports Fun” Christmas tree for Alamogordo’s Winter Wonderland Auction. Their tree auctioned for $2,700…proceeds go to The Base of Alamogordo.

Roswell Winter Wonderland
OFCU in Roswell decorated and donated a Christmas tree “Wishing you an udderly Mooey Christmas” for their Winter Wonderland Auction. Their tree auctioned for $1,500…proceeds go to the Casa Program in Roswell.

R.E.D.
OFCU observed Remember Everyone Deployed (R.E.D.) throughout the month of November by wearing red. R.E.D. is a simple yet powerful way to show our solidarity and support for our deployed service members – those who are currently serving away from home, working hard to protect our freedom and security. Wearing RED is visible reminder that our deployed troops are in our thoughts and we’re looking forward to their safe return.

HAFB Dorm Dinner
OFCU sponsored, made and served dinner on HAFB for November’s Dorm Dinner. We served Pozole with crackers, cabbage, onion, lime, cheesecake and a drink.

Veterans Day Dinner
OFCU had 16 volunteers help serve dinner to our communities Veterans on Monday, November 10th.

Trunk or Treat
October 30th Roswell held their 2nd Trunk or Treat from 6:30pm till they ran out of candy!! October 31st, Alamogordo had their 3rd Trunk or Treat. Combined OFCU handed out over 20,000 candies, about 2,000 glow sticks, 500 hot cocoas and 400 cookies. Roswell had 8 vehicles. Alamogordo had 15 vehicles and a hot cocoa/cookie table. We had 68+ participants combined!!
