THE CARES ACT

Many of OFCU's members are expecting or have received their government issued financial relief stimulus payment. Distribution payments began on Wednesday, April 15th. These distributions will continue over the next few weeks. The IRS determines the payment and deposit dates, which OFCU has no control over. OFCU is processing the deposits as soon as we are receiving the information.

Calls into OFCU and the online banking traffic have increased in volume, which may increase your wait time. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these times.

FAQs about the stimulus payments:

  • Depending on your tax returns for 2018/2019 or your Social Security payments, your payment will be direct deposited into your OFCU account.
  • If you are unsure of the account information that was supplied on your taxes, you will need to check your most recent tax return or contact your tax preparer.
  • If you elected to not do direct deposit on your last tax returns, you may set up your direct deposit through the IRS at https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments which will allow you to receive your payment as soon as possible.
  • OFCU my not have your stimulus payment information. The IRS has set up a tool https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment, that will provide you with the status of your payment.
  • Please remember, OFCU has mobile deposit or you may visit one of our drive thru or ITM locations, if you received a paper check.
