OFCU knows it is important to help teach the youth of our communities about how to handle, budget and save their money. Every year we do financial literacy presentations to hundreds of students at area high schools. If you are a teacher and/or student and are interested in having OFCU come to your school, please email the Marketing Department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
OFCU’s Chief Marketing Officer, Darro Pannell and Marketing Specialist, Alan Quiroz taught a college financial budgeting workshop to 26 TRIO Students on Saturday, September 29th at Alamogordo High School. New Mexico State University’s TRIO Upward Bound Program serves Alamogordo High School, as one of their target schools. The Program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in pre-college performance and ultimately in higher education pursuits. Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income families, and/or high school students from families in which neither parent holds a Bachelor's degree. The program is 100% funded through grants by the U.S. Department of Education.
