Community Involvement:

OFCU is proud of its community involvement. We strive to always be a good neighbor and help out whenever possible. Below are some of the community events we have sponsored and/or participated in. For donation requests please download and fill-out our Donation Request Form.

Boys and Girls Club Tree Auction

OFCU took part in a Tree Auction hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of Otero. We decorated the tree to be auctioned off at a event! The tree sold for $3,500 and the proceeds helped the local Boys and Girls Club!

Thrive: Day of Caring

Our staff proudly went and volunteered their time to help the community. They helped alongside military officials and members of the community. That organization cleaned up over 10 different areas.

2018 Walk to End Alzheimer's- Roswell

Otero Federal Credit Union proudly sponsored the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Southeastern Regional Walk in Roswell. Numerous people donated and participated in this amazing fundraiser.

ZOO BOO

Otero Federal Credit Union got to be a part of the Annual Zoo Boo. This year our booth was themed castle, and all our employees had fun with all the kids and gave out candy! We had seven volunteers total at this event.

Financial Literacy Presentations

During the months of January, February, and March, Staff from OFCU presented budgeting classes to students at Ruidoso High School, Carrizozo High School, and Alamogordo High School. We taught a total of 12 classes, reaching a total of about 250 students. They were great opportunities to teach kids about finances in the real world as well as to interact with future members.

Thrive in Southern New Mexico Donations

We love to give back here at OFCU. Our Management Team accepted the Helen Kirk Circle Donors plaque. This award was in recognition for donating over $10,000 to Thrive in Southern New Mexico (formerly United Way). These funds were generated through employee payroll contributions and help fund important agency partners in Otero County.
